OUR PRE-FINISHING DEPARTMENT WILL PUT A grain or FINISH ON ANY FLAT METAL PIECE THAT REQUIRES IT, UTILIZING OUR TWO TIMESAVERS BRAND BELT FED SANDING MACHINES.
Sometimes it’s for aesthetics, and sometimes it’s to help ensure that the part’s coating will adhere to the part as strongly as possible, for the most durable finish possible no matter what class of finish your design calls for – whether it’s chromated, silkscreened, powder coated, painted, or anodized. This is also where the parts are edged, to remove any burrs and break sharp edges that the punching or laser cutting process may have produced, so that the part is able to be safely handled.
